Ambassador Ehab Fawzy

His Excellency, Ambassador Ehab Fawzy is the Deputy Executive Director (DED) of the Women Development Organization (WDO) in the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). 

Before taking on his role in 2020, the DED had assumed numerous roles, representing his country, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and here’s a quick timeline of his posts.

After graduating from Cairo University with a degree in dentistry, Ambassador Fawzy started his career in diplomacy in 1984 by graduating from the Institute of Diplomatic Studies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt. A year later, he finished the Foreign Service Training Program in Oxford, UK. 

Between 1987 and 2007, the DED took on many roles, including as a member of the Mission of Egypt to Tunis, the Embassy of Egypt in Washington, D.C, the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations in New York, and the Cabinet of Minister of Foreign Affairs. 

Furthermore, between then and 2011, the DED was the Ambassador of Egypt to Austria. He was also the Permanent Representative of Egypt to the UN Office In Vienna, and the Permanent Representative of Egypt to CTBTO, UNIDO, and OSCE. He was also Governor of Egypt at the Board of Governors of the IAEA. 

In 2012, he was the Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt. 

Between 2013 and 2017, he was the Ambassador of Egypt to the Kingdom of Belgium, Head of Mission of Egypt to the European Union, Ambassador of Egypt to the Duchy of Luxembourg, and Ambassador of Egypt to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). 

From 2017 to 2020, he was the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt for Multilateral Affairs and International Security.
